After the hustle and bustle of a week full of activities, it
is good to relax and prepare your mind for the next week.
To be relaxed means to be free from tension and anxiety. Relaxation
is any activity, process or procedure that helps anyone relax or reduce their
level of anxiety, tension, stress or anger. These are emotions experienced
mostly during the week.
Relaxation can come in any of the following activities: family
outing, shopping, listening to music or watching TV, a film or documentary,
swimming, work out, painting, drawing, reading, etc. basically activities that makes you
happy and experience a sense of well being.
Experts can take you through a series of relaxation
technique. These include breathing exercise, visualisation, progressive muscle
relaxation, yoga, autogenic relaxation exercises, etc. These have techniques
and can be learnt from professionals.
Your relaxation time is your ‘me-time’. Me-time greatly
benefits you; you improve your health, reduce the likelihood of you being
stressed; during this time you experience clarity of thought, feelings of joy
and inner peace, increased energy and you release unwanted emotions.
Take time out to enjoy yourself, pamper your body and
relieve your mind from the strain of work schedule. Any time of the week is
good for this, provided you have that ‘me-time’. It helps your stay focused on
goals and personal objectives.
